Vernon Match Eatery re-opens next week

Staff at Vernon’s Match Eatery are busy preparing for the re-opening of the restaurant/pub next Thursday, March 18.

The facility, and other Match locations, were closed abruptly last year, when the province ordered all casinos shuttered in B.C.

Gateway Casinos has confirmed it is also re-opening three other locations on Tuesday March 16, in Kamloops, Penticton and New Westminster.

“We are very excited to reopen four more restaurants and welcome back more of our team. The health and well-being of our employees and guests is always our top priority,” Gateway vice-president of food & beverage Todd Pollock said in a media release.

The company indicates it has implemented stringent health, hygiene and cleaning protocols.

The restaurants will be open for dine-in and take-out, with patios opening as weather permits.

The Vernon location will be open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Friday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

All four restaurants are attached to Gateway Casinos, which under the current public health orders will remain closed until further notice.
