Police issue counterfeit advisory
Some ‘funny money’ has been making the rounds in Salmon Arm.
Mounties are advising businesses and banks to be vigilant after counterfeit $100 U.S. bills were seized and passed at stores in Salmon Arm.
“On December 10, local police seized $4,600 counterfeit bills from a residence in Salmon Arm. All of these bills are believed to be counterfeit. The bills all have the serial number ‐ LB440087L ‐ on them,” said Staff Sgt. Scott West.
West said police have also seized two other bills locally in other investigations with the same serial number on them.
