7 new cases in Interior Health

More than two dozen Covid cases linked to Kelowna parties

There are now 27 Covid-19 cases connected to several private parties in Kelowna in late June and early July.

Dr. Bonnie Henry, provincial health officer, said that includes 18 residents in the Interior Health region and 9 in the Vancouver and Fraser health regions.

“If you have been at one of the locations within the community exposure events, you do need to monitor carefully for symptoms, limit your contact with others through the incubation period and contact 811 if you have any symptoms to arrange for testing,” Henry told a provincial news conference Thursday.

There has been 21 new Covid cases in B.C. since Wednesday, which includes 7 new cases in Interior Health.

There is now four cases related to the Krazy Cherry Farm in Oliver.

There has been no new Covid related deaths and there are no new community or health care system outbreaks.

B.C. has 192 active cases, with 15 people in hospital, and 3 in critical or ICU.

A total of 2,789 people who have had the coronavirus have recovered.
