Investigation continues into fatal motel fire

An investigation into a fatal fire at a Prince George motel continues.

Three people died in the blaze Wednesday morning at the EconoLodge.

The cause is being treated as suspicious at this point.

“Specially trained fire investigators with the RCMP will be at the scene of the fire for a number of days gathering evidence,” said Cpl. Craig Douglass, media relations officer for Prince George RCMP. “The BC Coroners Service is conducting a parallel investigation to determine who died, and how, where, when and by what means they came to their unexpected deaths.”
