Coquihalla cherry truck fire stems Saturday traffic

A spectacular semi trailer fire closed the Coquihalla Highway late Saturday afternoon.

The fire erupted in the northbound lanes just south of Kamloops at about 5:00 p.m. Saturday.

Photos from the scene showed the tractor pulled away, leaving the trailer burning on the shoulder.

There is no word if anyone was injured.
