Update: Crash Sends One To Hospital

A crash in Vernon’s Okanagan Landing injured one person.

A pickup truck went off the road in the 77-hundred block of Okanagan Landing Road around 3:30 this afternoon.

One man, who officials describe as a senior, was taken to hospital.

They do not believe he was under the influence of any alcohol or drugs.

Power was cut briefly by B.C. Hydro, but is now back on.

Emergency responders are on the scene of a crash in Vernon’s Okanagan Landing.

Reports say a vehicle hit a power pole in the 77-hundred block of Landing Road around 3:30 pm, and there is a downed power line.

BC Hydro says power is out for about 1,050 customers in the Landing area, with no estimated time of repairs as yet.
