UPDATE

RCMP say three vehicles were involved in a crash just before 8 this morning on Hospital Hill in Vernon.

The crash occurred at Highway 97 and 18th Avenue, just south of the turnoff to Vernon Jubilee Hospital.

“The cause of the incident is unknown. One person taken to hospital for minor injuries,” says RCMP Cst. Kelly Brett.

The highway was shut down for a short period due to the crash.

Traffic is now getting through on Vernon’s Hospital Hill (Highway 97) after an accident this morning.

Traffic was previously at a standstill in both directions.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash.

No word yet on any injuries.

There is also a report of an accident on St. Anne’s Road near O’Keefe Ranch – a semi is in the ditch and appears to be the only vehicle involved.
