City Seeks COP Volunteers

The City of Enderby is looking for volunteers to help out with the Citizens on Patrol program.
Mayor Greg McCune says patrol members serve as “eyes and ears” to help spot crime or other suspicious activity.
“In 2017 we re-launched our Citizens on Patrol program to provide another tool to help deter and prevent criminal activity in our community. We are now looking for additional volunteers to bolster the program even further,” says McCune. “This will further increase our coverage and, through our volunteers, empower the community to reduce crime.”
Susan Ruck, COP Volunteer Coordinator, says the program involves teams patrolling the community in marked vehicles, in order to observe and report any activity that may require police presence or could aid the RCMP in their ongoing or future investigations.
