Drugs Seized In Counter Attack Stop

A holiday Counter Attack road check led to a significant drug seizure in Kelowna.

Drug paraphernalia was spotted inside a Mercedes E350 sedan stopped Dec 21st on Springfield Road, with the driver believed to be impaired by drugs.

A search of the vehicle turned up a replica handgun, a switch blade knife, and a long list of illicit drugs such as prescription pills, LSD, cocaine and meth.

The 35-year-old Kelowna man was issued a driving prohibition, and faces a number of potential drug related charges.

Drugs seized: over 250 suspected Oxycodone pills; over 50 suspected Dilaudid pills; over 70 suspected Xanax pills; over 10 suspected LSD tablets; over 15 grams of suspected Cocaine; over 10 grams of suspected Methamphetamine; nearly 600 ml of GHB; several suspected Oxazepam, Zopiclone, Dexedrine and Methylphenidate pills.
