Skilled Workers Needed

A Vernon agency is looking to help skilled workers — who are new to Canada — find work.

The NexusBC Community Resource Center holds a free information session every third Wednesday at the Vernon Library to help recruit skilled workers.

The Centre says with Canada’s low jobless rate, a number of I-T and engineering jobs are going unfilled.

The Career Path for Skilled Immigrants program can help newcomers get employed using their pre-arrival skillset. In addition, in we offer specialized training for newcomers who have a background in technology or construction and engineering.
