Highway Closed, Travel Not Recommended

Winter storm warnings are in effect for several mountain highway passes including the Coquihalla, the Rogers Pass on Highway One, and the Yellowhead Highway.

Drive BC says the Trans Canada to Alberta is currently closed for avalanche control in several areas between Revelstoke and the Alberta border.

Travel is not recommended due to the conditions.

Environment Canada says up to 50 cm’s of snow could fall on the Rogers Pass by Friday, while the Coquihalla from Merritt to Hope could get as much as 35 cm’s.
