Liam, Olivia Are BC’s Top Baby Names

As we wait for the first baby of the New Year, the B.C. government has released the most popular names for newborns over the past year.

Liam is the top boys’ name and is in the lead for the most popular name of all.

Olivia comes up trumps for the top girl’s name.

Other popular names include Emma, Lucas and Oliver, according to the Vital Statistics Agency’s preliminary statistics from Jan. 1st to Dec. 18th, 2018.
