TORONTO — The Canadian Hockey League added nine additional players to its roster for the 2026 CHL USA Prospects Challenge.

Goaltender Vilmer Salén Forsberg (Brantford, OHL), defencemen Brock Cripps (Prince Albert, WHL), Levi Harper (Saginaw, OHL), Malik L’Italien (Halifax, QMJHL) and Cooper McAslan (London, OHL), and forwards Ryerson Edgar (Niagara, OHL), Aleks Kulemin (Kingston, OHL), Kayden Stroeder (Edmonton, WHL) and Jaakko Wycisk (Guelph, OHL) were named to the team Thursday.

The additions bring the CHL’s roster to 13 players, joining previously announced forwards Brock England (Seattle, WHL), Dima Zhilkin (Saginaw), Alexis Joseph (Saint John, QMJHL) and Carter Meyer (Quebec, QMJHL).

Three of the selections competed in the QMJHL Prospects Game on Wednesday in Gatineau, Que., where Joseph recorded three points, and Meyer added two assists in Team Lafleur’s 7-2 win over Team Crosby.

All 13 players named to the CHL team received an “A” rating on NHL Central Scouting’s preliminary watch list for the 2027 NHL draft, released Monday.

The rest of the CHL roster will be announced in early November ahead of the two-game series against the U.S. National Team Development Program, which takes place Dec. 1-2 in Chicoutimi, Que. and Quebec City.
