Free YMCA program coming to Kelowna for adults 55 and older

A free program aimed at helping Kelowna adults 55 and older become more active is coming to the downtown YMCA this fall.

The YMCA of Southern Interior B.C. is bringing its Choose to Move program to the facility, offering eight group sessions, peer support and one-on-one coaching to help participants develop sustainable activity habits.

The program is designed for adults who are not currently YMCA members and focuses on creating personalized plans based on individual needs and lifestyles rather than short-term fitness goals.

Some eligible participants will also receive free access to YMCA facilities while taking part in the program.
