Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic headline National Bank Open player list in Montreal

MONTREAL — World No.1 Jannik Sinner and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic highlight the 96-player list for this summer’s National Bank Open, one year after several top players pulled out of the ATP 1000 tournament.
Sinner and Djokovic will be joined by French Open champion Alexander Zverev and top-ranked Canadian Félix Auger-Aliassime, who currently sits fourth in the world.
Tennis Canada said 71 of the ATP Tour’s top 72 players have entered the Aug. 1-13 tournament at IGA Stadium.
No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz is the only player absent. The seven-time Grand Slam champion hasn’t played since injuring his right wrist at the Barcelona Open in April, missing the French Open and Wimbledon. Tournament organizers say he will not travel to Montreal.
