More early-spring snow is expected on the highway connecting the Interior to the coast.
Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning shortly before 6 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, as heavy snow was expected to fall on the Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt.
The weather agency forecasts between 20 and 30 centimetres of snowfall on the highway by Wednesday afternoon or night.
Motorists were advised to be cautious as the weather could cause sudden reductions in visibility, and winter driving conditions requiring winter tires or chains.
