Orchard fire sends plumes of smoke outside Vernon

Dark black smoke rose above Vernon from a fire at an orchard Monday afternoon.

BX Fire Rescue responded to a report of open flames and dark black smoke coming from a property in the 6,200 block of Rimer Road at around 4:20 p.m. March 2.

Vernon Matters attended the scene and found flames and smoke coming from an orchard and fire crews on scene.
