RCMP crack down on downtown crime
Aug 19, 2025 | 1:22 PM
West Kelowna RCMP say a recent downtown crime crackdown has led to several arrests and the seizure of drugs, weapons, and cash.
As part of about 20 investigations, officers took fentanyl, meth, and cocaine off the streets.
Among the seizures was 150 grams of fentanyl, an amount police estimate could equal 75,000 potentially fatal doses.
Police say the ongoing enforcement aims to curb drug trafficking, violence, and disorder in the city’s core.
