Kelowna RCMP Traffic Services say they issued nearly 50 tickets this week as part of a safety initiative Tuesday.
The offences included 22 tickets for speeding, and 11 distracted driving offences related to the use of an electronic device. Other tickets were dished out for non insurance, no licence and other infractions.
Mounties said the results highlight the ongoing concerns they see on local roadways and reinforces the need for continued proactive enforcement.
