Driven by Kindness: Vernon Hyundai Named Best of the Best

When a community speaks, it matters. Locals cast their votes in the Best of the Best awards and gave the distinction of Best Car Dealership to Vernon Hyundai.

For General Manager Nathan Mackintosh and his team, this recognition is more than just a title. “We’re truly grateful,” he says. “This award belongs to everyone who walks through our doors and everyone we serve.”

At Vernon Hyundai, honesty, transparency, and a people-first mindset aren’t just ideals – they’re everyday practice. Whether someone is coming in for their very first car or returning for a regular service visit, every customer is treated like a neighbour.

“We operate like a village,” says Nathan, using the example of a town flourishing when its citizens look out for each other.

That philosophy extends throughout the dealership’s culture. Instead of having separate departments, the dealership works as one cohesive team. “We believe that we’re one department with the same common goal,” explains Mackintosh. “And that goal is to make sure that the customer gets the best possible experience that they can here.”

It’s a model that works. The dealership has earned top customer satisfaction scores, and for the past five years, they’ve ranked #1 in Western Canada for overall performance among Hyundai dealerships, based on customer feedback.

Back to the Best of the Best win. “We don’t do this for awards or accolades. We do it because it’s the right thing to do,” Mackintosh said. “But it’s always nice to be acknowledged by your community and the people that support you.”

“This is for the people who work here,” he added. “So I just want to give a sincere thank you, not only for supporting our business but also for this award.”
