The City of Vernon will honour the victims of the attack at the Lapu Lapu Day festival.

On April 26, during the event in Vancouver, a vehicle crashed into people, killing 11 and leaving dozens others injured.

The City of Vernon will join the Province of B.C. in observing a Day of Remembrance and Mourning for the victims with a moment of silence at 11 a.m. Friday, May 2.

Flags will also be flown at half-mast to honour the victims Friday.
