Moment of silence to be held in Vernon to honour Lapu Lapu festival attack victims

The City of Vernon will honour the victims of the attack at the Lapu Lapu Day festival.
On April 26, during the event in Vancouver, a vehicle crashed into people, killing 11 and leaving dozens others injured.
The City of Vernon will join the Province of B.C. in observing a Day of Remembrance and Mourning for the victims with a moment of silence at 11 a.m. Friday, May 2.
Flags will also be flown at half-mast to honour the victims Friday.
