Golfers should hit the driving range to warm up for a fundraiser in the summer.

The fourth annual Kalamalka Rotary Charity Golf Classic will run on June 5 at the Vernon Golf and Country Club.

The golf event will act as a fundraiser for the North Okanagan Starfish Program, which provides meals for area school children.

“We are excited to support and highlight the work of this amazing organization in our community,” Jacqueline Rivard, golf committee chair, said.

“Supporting children and families with basic needs like healthy nutritious food is integral to building a healthy community.”

The Charity Golf Classic will be open to players of all golf abilities. Participants will play a round of 18, and will be provided with lunch and dinner. There will also be featured sponsored holes with giveaways, a putting contest, a hole in one contest, and a silent auction.

The price to play is $250 per golfer, and people can register online here.
