
Levitt leads Warriors to 5-1 win over Stingers, advance to U Sports women’s final
ELMIRA, ONTARIO — The Waterloo Warriors have advanced to the Miller Waste U SPORTS women’s hockey championship final with a 5-1 win over the fifth seeded Concordia Stingers on Saturday at Woolwich Memorial Centre.
Brodi Levitt scored twice and added two assists for the eighth-seeded Warriors, who will play the winner of Saturday’s second semifinal showdown — between the Bishop’s Gaiters and Toronto Varsity Blues — in Sunday’s final.
Gracey Smith, Kassidy McCarthy and Madison Pritchard also scored for the Warriors. McCarthy also had two assists.
Alexandra-Anne Boyer scored for the Stingers, who were outshot 32-27.
