The park in Kelowna’s downtown core will once again be home to the outdoor ice rink this winter.

The City of Kelowna said preparation work was underway at Stuart Park with the goal of having the rink ready for skaters by Saturday, Nov. 30.

The rink will be open at 9 a.m. Saturday, but the rest of the season will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., weather permitting, with the wexception of Mondays when the rink will be closed for maintenance.

“We know residents look forward to the Stuart Park outdoor skating rink each and every year,” Steve Hebden, Kelowna’s Recreation Facility Operations Supervisor, said.

“Crews are in the finishing stages of creating the ice, including a fun nod to Kelowna hosting the 2025 Brier, and we look forward to seeing our community come together to create lasting memories on the ice!”

A webcam will be set up for the public to view ice conditions through the city’s website.

The skate rental kiosk will also be set up at the park, though only cash will be accepted.
