Fatal crash forced highway closure near Enderby
A section of Highway 97A was closed Tuesday due to a fatal vehicle collision.
RCMP said a bus and a passenger vehicle collided on the highway near the intersection at Canyon Road south of Enderby at approximately 3:15 p.m. Sept. 10.
The initial investigation determined that a grey Honda Accord, travelling north on the highway, attempted to make a left turn onto Canyon Road when it was struck on the rear passenger side by an oncoming commercial coach bus.
Two of the three occupants of the Honda were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The third person did not survive and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
