Gas prices jump 20 cents per litre in Vernon

The cost of fueling up increased in Vernon Wednesday.

Local gas stations increased their prices for regular fuel to $1.83.9 per litre July 24, marking a 20 cent increase from the previous day’s rates.

According to the fuel price tracking website GasBuddy, Wednesday’s prices were also up by nine cents from last month’s average, and were up 16 cents on an annual basis.

Kelowna’s gas prices were unchanged on a daily basis at $1.83.9 Wednesday, though GasBuddy noted that figure was also up eight cents from the previous month and had jumped 21 cents on an annual basis.

GasBuddy’s data showed the most affordable fuel in B.C. Wednesday could be found in Chilliwack at $1.64.9.
