The Conservative Party of B.C.’s House Leader will meet with local residents to answer questions and discuss policies at an open house in Vernon.

Bruce Banman, MLA for Abbotsford South, will host the event at the Schubert Centre Saturday, Feb. 17.

“We are very excited to discuss the solutions that the Conservative Party of BC is putting forward to address the problems that challenge B.C.,” the party said in a release.

“This is your opportunity to contribute to the development of these solutions.”

The event will be open to the general public. Doors will open for registration at 10 a.m. and the open house will run until 12 p.m. Feb. 17.

The Conservative Party of B.C. had not announced the candidate for the Vernon-Lumby riding as of time of publication. Tara Armstrong is the candidate for Kelowna-Lake Country-Coldstream, and David Williams is the candidate for Salmon Arm-Shuswap.

The next provincial election is scheduled for October 2024.
