Payment Due by August 18

Quarterly utility bills in the mail

Jul 31, 2023 | 12:47 PM

The City of Vernon has sent out the second quarterly utility bills.

The bills have been put in the mail, and Vernon residents and business owners will have until Friday, August 18, to make their payments.

Utility bills can be paid in person at City Hall; through most major banks, trust companies and credit unions; online or telephone banking; regular mail, or at the 24-hour drop box at the entrance to city hall.

The city noted payment by mail must arrive at Vernon City Hall before the deadline.

Any unpaid balances after August 18 will be charged a 12 per cent interest per annum.

The city also has a utility auto debit program that residents and business owners can sign up to, which authorizes the City to automatically withdraw the utility account balance from bank accounts each billing due date.

Anyone who does not receive their bill by mail are encouraged to log in to their MyCity account to find the invoice online.
