Two big events at Kelowna International Airport

Travel hounds and job seekers will both find something of interest this Saturday at Kelowna International Airport (YLW), with the annual travel show and a job fair for employment at the airport.

The Spring Travel Show runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the KF Centre for Excellence at 5800 Lapointe Drive.

It is a chance to meet with air carriers, travel agents, hotels and resorts to get helpful travel tips to plan your next vacation.

“We are thrilled to be bringing back this event and helping Okanagan Residents plan their next getaway,” Sam Samaddar, Airport Director, Kelowna International Airport, said. “Whether you’re looking for a relaxing getaway or an adventurous trip, our Spring Travel Show is sure to have something for everyone.”

Ballots for the prize draws are $5 each or $20 for five tickets and will only be available at the event. All funds raised will go towards the YLW Scholarship Fund.

YLW is also hosting a hiring fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the KF Centre for Excellence at 5800 Lapointe Drive.

There will be a variety of employers that service the airport terminal building and surrounding campus.

Career opportunities are diverse, with employers hiring for a range of positions at different skill levels and education – from security to janitorial services, customer service to cargo agents.
