Coach looks to provide racquetball to less fortunate

Nov 10, 2022 | 2:45 PM

A Vernon coach is hoping local businesses will get behind his idea to bring racquetball to low-income families with children.

Bob Wolf, who is a coach at The Roster Sports Club, is willing to provide a three month racquetball program for the less fortunate.

He’s seeking support from local businesses to fund the program.

“The cost for the three months is $99 per child with perhaps an extra cost for decent indoor court shoes. My time will be donated and I will supply rental racquets and protective eye wear for the students,” Wolf told Vernon Matters.

Wolf, who is with the Vernon Racquetball Group, organizes programs for juniors ages 8 years to 18 as well as ladies and co-ed adult racquetball programs.

“As we have only two racquetball courts at Rosters, I may have to juggle times and dates for the students, depending on how many register and how many businesses are willing to help us,” Wolf added.

Anyone interested in helping can contact Wolf at 250-833-6968 or email bobthwolf@gmail.com.
