Vipers lose in Merritt

The Vernon Vipers had their win streak snapped at one in the BC Hockey League after losing 4-2 to the Merritt Centennials Sunday afternoon at the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena.
The Vipers got goals from Seiya Tanaka-Campbell and Hank Cleaves in the close game that was settled in the final seconds when the Centennials scored into an empty net to seal the victory.
Roan Clarke made 35 saves in taking the loss before 412 fans.
The Vipers visit the West Kelowna Warriors on Friday.
