RCMP remove numerous impaired drivers from North Okanagan roads
Several people will be riding the bus or getting the bike out of the shed for their daily commutes after losing their licenses and vehicles due to being impaired.
Between noon Friday and 4 a.m. Monday, Vernon North Okanagan RCMP officers issued 11 alcohol-related driving prohibitions to motorists.
Eight of those drivers were served 90-day alcohol driving prohibitions and 30-day vehicle impounds, while the other three were issued lesser alcohol-related bans.
“Impaired driving continues to be a concern on our roads,” states Constable Chris Terleski, Media Relations Officer for the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP.
