Search continues for Salmon Arm B&E suspect

Oct 15, 2021 | 5:56 PM

Salmon Arm RCMP is asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect in a break in at a residence while the occupants were home.

Mounties say the incident occurred on Sunday, Oct. 10. The male suspect allegedly broke in to the home, startling the residents before fleeing the scene.

It was not known which direction the suspect fled, and the only description that was provided to police was that the suspect was believed to be male.

The RCMP suspect the person had been looking in a first floor window before entering the residence through a sliding window.

Mounties say people can prevent possible intruders from entering through a sliding window by placing a length of wood in the frame so the window won’t open wide enough for a person to climb through.

Anyone with information relating to this or any other similar incidents is asked to contact the Salmon Arm RCMP at 250-832-6044, or to file an anonymous report through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
