UPDATE: Evacuation alerts lifted in most of Vernon, along with Coldstream and RDNO Areas B and C, no structural loss found so far
UPDATE: 2:45 p.m.
The Evacuation Alert for properties in parts of RDNO Electoral Areas B and C and District of Coldstream has been rescinded, based on a recommendation by the BC Wildfire Service.
The City of Vernon is also lifting most of its evacuation alert, excluding Canadian Lakeview Estates in its entirety, Adventure Bay in its entirety and Tronson Road (from 8125 to 9280), but everywhere else in the city is no longer under the alert which was first issued Friday afternoon and expanded to cover most of the city later that night.
