UPDATE: Less pain at the pump for Vernon motorists

As of Friday evening, the low prices at several stations had come to an end in Vernon.

Those outlets, like Super Save, Esso and Chevron, were reporting $1.29.9 a litre, and others were at $1.39.9.

Vernon has the rare distinction of having the lowest priced fuel in the province.

At of Friday afternoon the Super-Save gas station on 27th Street has a posted price of 119.9 for unleaded, but has a full time at pump discount of another 2 cents a litre, making the pump price 117.9.

Petro-Canada stations have been trying to force the price up all week and are the most expensive in the market at 139.9. Other stations fall in a range between Petro Canada and Super Save.

Prices in Penticton, Lake Country and Kelowna are all at 139.9.

Vancouver prices are the most expensive a just under 1.55.
