Opening day at Silver Star sunny and mellow

It was a bluebird day with near spring like conditions for opening day at Silver Star Mountain Resort, as season pass holders got their first taste of boarding and skiing.

Those on mountain were all smiles about the sunshine and fresh air.

Skiers are enjoying being back

One the business side of things There were a handful of patrons indoors at the Bulldog Grand Cafe and several more enjoying the patio. Silver star eateries have added more outdoor spaces to meet social distancing guidelines set out by the province.

Vernon Matters chatted with General Manager Oscar Carreira about the upcoming season.

Silver Star Communications and Marketing Manager Chantelle Deacon also checked in with Vernon Matters.

Opening day at Silver Star

The mountain is only open for season pass holders until December 7th, when a limited number of day passes will be sold.
