A cyclist got a trip to hospital — and a ticket from police — after a run-in with a vehicle in Vernon.
Police received a report of a collision involving a vehicle and a cyclist in the 2400-block of 33rd Street at around 2:20 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 1).
RCMP attended the scene along with the BC Ambulance Service.
“After interviewing witnesses and the involved parties, the 34-year-old cyclist received a violation ticket under the Motor Vehicle Act for careless cycling and failing to wear a helmet,” Const. Chris Terleski, media relations officer, told Vernon Matters.
