Rotary fund raises for Okanagan Rail Trail

Rotary clubs band together to raise rail trail dollars

Bake sales and garage sales haven’t been that common this summer and fall due to COVID-19, but three local Rotary clubs are planning to pull off what they are calling Rotary Club “Absolutely Enormous” Garage Sale.

On October 3 (9 a.m.- 1 p.m.) at 6061 Okanagan Ave. Vernon, Silver Star Rotary is partnering with Kal Rotary and Vernon Rotary to host the socially distanced garage and bake sale, on the large semi rural property.

Rotary clubs are organizing garage sale items, and trail supporters are encouraged to donate either quality, current sporting goods, and/or bake sale items. Donations can be dropped off Friday October 2 between 5-7 p.m. at 6061 Okanagan Ave., Vernon (ask for Teresa).

Matching funds up to $2,000,have been pledged so donations or purchases will have a double impact.
