The Vernon Recreation Complex, the pool and other facilities will reopen on October 13.
“The date has been affected by the delivery of pool filter materials from the United States which has proved challenging do to COVID-19,” said Doug Ross, Director of Recreation Services.
An extensive COVID-19 plan has been developed to allow the reopening, all dictated by provincial health rules. That will include things like enhanced cleaning, restriction on the number of people in the facility, social distancing rules, and numerous other protocols.
“It’s a very good plan, that could be used for any such similar situations,” commented Councillor Akbal Mund.
