DVA launches #OpenWithCare

The Downtown Vernon Association has launched an Open With Care campaign to let shoppers know its members have created a safe enviroment during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The DVA says members are:

• adhering to WorkSafe BC protocols and orders from the Public Health Officer
• using the resources available to help them to #OpenWithCare
• helping to share consistent and reliable messaging regarding COVID-19

The downtown business group’s #OpenWithCare campaign provides messaging through enhanced media, door signage and support materials to help businesses demonstrate that they have made the #OpenWithCare commitment, according to a DVA press release issued Wednesday.

“This province-wide campaign was created to help guests and visitors feel confident and safe in returning to their favourite local businesses and discovering some new favourites,” the release stated.

And shoppers are asked to #VisitWithCare as well.

“To demonstrate that commitment, visitors are asked to respect each individual business’ protocols including physical distancing, traffic flow management, providing contact information when asked, wearing masks if required, and taking advantage of opportunities for frequent hand washing and proper sanitation.”

The DVA says all customers and visitors are welcome during these days of COVID-19.
