Non-profit dental centre holds fundraiser

A charity group that provides dental services at reduced costs is holding a fundraiser next month in Vernon.

The Community Dental Access Centre opened in 2012 and is located at 3107 C 31st Avenue in Vernon.

“We are a non-profit organization catering to people in the Okanagan area that cannot afford dental services. Our patients include children, homeless persons, seniors and others struggling to make ends meet,” Robyn Rossworn from the centre said.

“We provide dental services at reduced costs, and through our Angel Fund Program, at no cost. Our patient count continues to grow. Last year over 3,200 patients were treated at the clinic.”

The centre will be presenting Kinda Kenny, a Kenny Rogers tribute show at the Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 6 p.m.

“Marty Edwards is a seasoned professional that has performed his tribute to Kenny Rogers in Canada and the United States. He has preformed on the Oprah Winfrey Show, Jay Leno as well as many other professional venues,” a news release said.

The centre will be also be hosting a silent auction at the event.

“We are honoured to have so many generous donations from friends and business supporters. A full listing of these individuals and companies will be included in the event program and on our website.”
