Court ruling could impact bag ban

The Regional District of North Okanagan’s plan to ban single-use plastics could face some hurdles after a B.C Court of Appeal ruling against the city of Victoria.

The court ruled against the city and said that provincial approval from the Ministry of Environment was required.

RDNO says it’s aware of the ruling and will be discussing its bylaw at the next board meeting this Wednesday.
