West Kelowna issues notice

Boil your water

Jul 15, 2019 | 2:04 PM

A boil water notice issued by the City of West Kelowna remains in effect on Monday.

Residents were notified Sunday that a mechanical failure had increased turbidity at the Okanagan Lake intake, affecting the West Kelowna Estates system.

Approximately 1,250 customers have been affected.

The city said crews were on scene conducting repairs.

A boil water notice means all users should use boiled water, or an alternate, safe source, for drinking, brushing teeth, washing fruits and vegetables, preparing food, making beverages and ice and mixing baby formula.
