New Stop For Transit

Residents of an Armstrong retirement facility will soon have more options for getting around.

Mayor Chris Pieper says after requests by the City, BC Transit has agreed to change one of its routes to include Heaton Place.

He says a bus stop will added at the 76 unit-facility on Wright Street.

“That will greatly improve accessibility for the seniors at Heaton Place for transit. It’s been approved by Transit. I’m not sure of the exact date it will happen, but it will happen fairly soon,” Pieper tells Beach Radio News.
