Charities, Non-Profits Can Apply For Grants

Applications will be start to be accepted Feb. 1 for grants from the 5th annual Co-Op Community Spaces Program.

Federated Co-Operatives Limited is dedicating 2 million dollars for community-led capital projects in Western Canada, ranging in amounts from 25-thousand dollars to 150-thousand.

“There’s no end to the great things that are being done across Western Canada to keep communities vibrant and growing,” says Vic Huard, Executive Vice-President of Strategy at Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL). “Co-op Community Spaces is another way for Co-ops to encourage this growth, give back and invest in places that bring us all together.”

Nonprofits, charities and community service o co-operatives can apply online in categories like recreation, environmental conservation and urban agriculture from Feb. 1 to March 1.
