Fountain Tire Lights Up Christmas for a Family of 5

The New Year is already looking better for a Vernon family of five.

Fountain Tire have been partnering with some like- minded community businesses in their second annual Christmas Car Giveaway.

Manager Brandon Colvin told Beach Radio News that “they received over 50 applications…from people who all deserved a new vehicle this Christmas”.

He says “the decision, as in the first year, was a very hard one…but me and my group of about a dozen went through the finalists and came up with the lucky recipient”.

Her name is Alyssa Riggs, a mother of three, aged 9, 4 and just a few months. The family of five, who live just outside of Vernon and had nothing but bad luck with their vehicles. “Well that is about to change big time in the New Year” said Colvin.

Not only have they put new rubber on the wheels, did any mechanical upgrades needed, they also filled the trunk with goodies like canned goods, toys for the kids and whatever else they could fit in it.

Last year’s winner called Fountain Tire earlier and thanked them so much, crediting her gift vehicle as being instrumental in turning her life around this year.

Brandon, his wife Sharmayne, the staff and all the volunteers are eager to do this again next year.
