Bike Driver Goes Off Highway

A motorcycle driver went off the highway south of Vernon this morning.

Police say the man conducted a shoulder check and failed to negotiate a turn near Bailey Road around 9 am.

The Lake Country man hit a guardrail causing him to go over the embankment, while his bike continued on a few feet before laying down and coming to a stop.

The man suffered minor injuries.

“No one else involved in the incident.  No violation tickets issued,” says Cst. Kelly Brett.
