A man has been sentenced to two years and one day in prison over a head-on crash north of Enderby on September 28, 2017 that left both drivers with serious injuries.

Forty-year-old Shawn Nelson Grant appeared in Salmon Arm provincial court today for a preliminary hearing but pleaded guilty to one count of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

Three other charges, including possession of stolen property and prohibited driving, were stayed by the Crown.

Apart from jail, Grant has been handed a ten-year driving ban and ordered to pay his victim 200 dollars.

RCMP reported at the time of the crash that a stolen SUV crossed the centre line of Highway 97A and hit a pick-up truck, seriously injuring a Salmon Arm woman who had been driving the vehicle.
