Update on Shooting Victim, Vehicle

Police have issued a short update on a shooting victim in Vernon.

Mounties say the man who was shot, is a 24 year old from Vernon who remains in hospital in serious condition.

The man was found with gunshot wounds in a car near a shopping complex on 43rd Avenue Monday.

Police also say the Ford Crown Victoria reported in connection to the shooting has been recovered, but they don’t say where.

Police are looking into the possibility of the Vernon shooting suspect being the same person who was killed by police late Monday at the ferry terminal in Nanaimo.
