Budget Final In Lake Country

Councillors in Lake Country Tuesday night gave final approval to the District’s financial plan..

Mayor James Baker says no changes were needed after the first three readings.

It includes a tax rate increase of 3.5 per cent which will help cover costs of what Baker says is the big three – roads, water and sewer.

“Nothing outside the ordinary. Just continuing to catch up on all of the infrastructure work we need. That gives us a little bit more revenue to get more done.”
